The links redirect to the direct download of the pack, wich makes people unable to see Comparisons/Extra info by the autor/Tutorial in case the game has problems with textures/Paypal link for support/etc.It was not made for Project Tribute mod, that doesn't exist it will be featured on a PC port called Tribute, wich is different. You gave my upscale a wrong description. That would mean that if someone makes a Silver tier upscale but says that it has manual edits it can be passed as a Silver+ tier. You gave my upscale an HD resolution when it's QHD, wich makes me wonder if you try the packs before giving them a tier or if you just go by what the autor says. The resolution of the upscales is misleading, since an HD upscale well done can easily beat an UHD one.Not even that, people with a good computers can just start making Silver tier upscales just to figure on the list, making the Bronze tiers useless. Imagine if your list becomes the main source for centralized upscales and someone who wants to make a business out of this starts doing Gold+ upscales and becomes famous, and then that person starts saying 'Ok, these are the games I'll be upscaling this month', that would make everyone who's working on a lower tier upscale to just drop it or become frustrated. You may think that making a Platinum upscale takes a lot of time, but I only do thiis on sundays afternoon, wich means that if I had more time I could start making already existing packs just to mess with people. If I decide to start making Platinum upscales of the games in that list, then other people's work would be replaced with mine, slowly discouraging them from making upscales. And I already see some problems with having that kind of list: I’d rather you did NOT re-host this elsewhere.I didn't hesisate to include 'only worthwhile' upscales, I said that even if I don't like the idea we could still figure out something, but you have 7 tiers wich can be confusing and problematic. ![]() Leave a notice in the comment section of this file on expression that you are using it. ![]() You can use this in a mod you are working on. The pack was made to fit vanilla half life and not mods. Most issues when using this in mods revolve around stretched textures here and there and signs that are not sizing properly. These can be used in preexisting mods and for the most part will work. Any issues take a picture and PM me and I’ll try to address it. These are issues in vanilla HL2 maps themselves. Also there are a few misaligned textures and where two textures sit side by side with one a tad darker than the other. So you might see the exact same texture next to itself, one looks fine while the other does not. As these are HD, a lot of the textures are 2048x2048 while some are bigger. I’m not a maper but from what I can tell, in some instances the game is expecting to work with a specific size (512x512) texture. I used a lot of FF style overlays on 90% of the textures to enhance detail. I tried my best to not have too much repetition in textures. I also made half dozen or so new FF style overlays and edited a few of FF’s overlays. I also went through every VMT to try and make sure all the settings are correct.ĭecals and overlay ARE part of this pack as well as the FF folder. Or I used them elsewhere that I thought they would fit. So any files that were made special, like the cinematic textures that were part of most of these packs were removed as those named files don’t exist in the game. I started with the main files from the game and only replaced those files. I did NOT haphazardly just throw all this together and hope for the best. Like EP2 not part of the pack or frequent purple textures here and there. The different packs had some glaring issues that made them unusable. I’ve also edited or completely remade about 400 textures. It was put together from: Cinematic mod, HD overhaul, vanilla re-mastered 3.1, Munabcho INC and various others that I’ve lost track where I got them from. Coming soon.ġ0/31/21 Several updates and I redid the blood splatter. ![]() ![]() I've decided to combine (pun) this with my props pack to make a total all emcompasing pack. 11/30/21 This will probably be my last release.
